Don't Stop - Pelkkää elämää

For his eponymous 1979 album Kari Tapio recorded "Pelkkää elämää" (Just life). The arrangement was done by Veikko Samuli. This just might be the one and only Fleetwood Mac cover made in Finnish. The original song "Don't Stop" was one of Mac's greatest hits. It was written by the keyboard player Christine McVie and sung by her and guitarist Lindsey Buckingham.,The song was culled as a single from the band's 1977 album "Rumours". The album has sold about 50 million copies worldwide and is one of the biggest-selling albums of all time.

Not quite the only FM cover in Finnish. Obviously loads of FM Mark I blues songs have been covered by Finnish bands, usually in English. However there are at least two songs that have been done in Finnish: Black magic woman by Sleepy Sleepers and Man of the World by Heikki Hela and by (of all people) Matti & Teppo.

This 'Man of The World" in Finnish sounds interesting. It was always one my favourites of the "old" Fleetwood Mac. I'll try to catch those Finnish ones.

Myös 'Maailmanmies' Sorsakoski muisteli menneitä kappaleella *Nuoruuteni*.
Jollain Agents-levyllähän se muistaakseni oli.

Tosiaan, Topi levytti "Man Of The World" -version nimellä "Nuoruuteni" sinkun b-puolelle 1992.

Kontra yhtyeeltä löytyy vielä Long Gray Mare suomeksi,löytyy Suurimmat iskut kokoelmalta. Myös FM 2:lta löytyy käännös; Seppo närhen uidakin voit Uumajaan (Monday Morning). Lisäksi Bob Welchin Ebony eyes on käännetty, biisi on kuitenkin soolotuotantoa.

To my surprise I found out that Katri Helena has recorded FM's "Little Lies". I present it here someday.
